Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group has an opening for a Business Analyst. This role is responsible for improving the Company’s competitiveness and performance across a broad spectrum of criteria. Works closely with our Scrum Teams, including the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Development Team and System Architect to ensure that the product delivered is aligned to business priorities. Partners with the Product Owner to clarify business needs, refine backlog items, and ensure shared understanding across the business and technical teams. Business Analyst I Responsible to perform or facilitate key steps and deliverables, including: Gathering and documentation business requirements in an iterative, collaborative manner Creates and refines user stories and acceptance criteria Provides user training materials support Supports backlog refinement activities Effectively facilitates group discussions and backlog-related conversations Breaks down business problems into actionable user stories Demonstrates analytical and questioning skills With assistance, participates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies Business Analyst II Responsible to perform or facilitate key steps and deliverables with minimal guidance. Demonstrates advanced analytical and questioning skills. Works closely with the Product Owner to refine and clarify business needs Independently creates user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation, with final approval from the Product Owner Participates fully in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and helps maintain a healthy backlog Essential Functions Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following: Independently manages key project responsibilities with iterative delivery cycles. Provides guidance to Quality Assurance Analysts. Utilizes systems and resources to carry out analysis in support of business priorities. Performs duties concerned with the design and improvement of business workflows and systems Analyzes requirements and procedures to improve business systems and support incremental delivery Confers with stakeholders to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, document user stories/use cases and propose improvements. Works with the Product Owners to understand, analyze, document and communicate business needs. Develops materials used to represent and communicate key findings and recommendations. Work with software engineers/developers to clarify and ensure understanding of business specifications. Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, with an emphasis on Agile/Scrum frameworks and iterative delivery.
