About The Position

Hotel Equities is seeking an Overnight Supervisor for Postcard Cabins Big Bear in Running Springs, CA. This role involves supervising and overseeing the overnight operations of multiple Outpost locations from a single primary Outpost property. The supervisor will be responsible for processing daily audit procedures, reconciling all revenue postings within Opera, and pulling daily audit reports. A key aspect of the role is responding promptly to any property emergency situations, escalating to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager as needed. The position also entails validating guest check-in and check-out reservations, verifying all arrivals, and responding to guest inquiries in a timely manner across various platforms including Oracle, GXP, KIPSU, third-party booking platforms, and phone calls. Maintaining the Postcard Cabins brand voice in all guest communication and responding to all guest tickets for supervising Outposts are crucial. Furthermore, the supervisor is expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support team members in achieving common goals, and appropriately address concerns from other employees.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Related Work Experience: Hotel, Food Service Management, Retail etc.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Must be self-directed. There is minimal direct supervision.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Being passionate about people and service.
  • Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
  • Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and overseeing the overnight operations of multiple Outpost locations from a single primary Outpost property
  • Process daily audit procedure and pull daily audit reports
  • Audit and reconcile all revenue postings within Opera
  • Respond promptly to any property emergency situations, contacting Assistant General Manager and General Manager as appropriately needed
  • Validate guest check-in & check out reservations, verifying all arrivals
  • Respond to inquiries from guests in a timely manner via Oracle, GXP, KIPSU, third-party booking platforms, and phone calls from our dedicated Bookings Line
  • Maintain the Postcard Cabins brand voice through all guest communication
  • Respond to ALL guest tickets in a timely manner for supervising Outposts
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team members to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
