About The Position

Securitas at Lonza is hiring a Full-Time Overnight Supervisor for their Newington, NH security team. A security supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of security guards, ensuring the safety and security of a facility by monitoring surveillance systems, responding to incidents, training staff on security protocols, and coordinating with law enforcement, when necessary, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is former/current military, former law enforcement, or from a security background. Managerial and security experience is preferred, but the company is happy to teach, train and mentor individuals with little experience. This is an UNARMED Security Officer role. Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• 18 Years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, & have a strong work ethic.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must be able to conduct foot and/or mobile patrols throughout shift – During various weather conditions.
• Must be able to stay alert & have great attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation & communication.

Nice To Haves

• Managerial and security experience is preferred
• Previous Military and/or Law enforcement experience a plus!!
• Conflict resolution & de-escalation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy.
• Provides lead direction at assigned client site(s) on assigned shift(s); acts to ensure that post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and clients in emergency situations.
• May counsel and discipline personnel as appropriate; seek advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meet personally with employees and documents counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Assists in the training of Security Officers and review of post orders.
• Assists in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
• In conjunction with company management or designated company representatives act to ensure adequate security coverage of all posts.
• Prepares files and submits various reports as required.
• Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
• As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, carries out lead or supervisory duties that can include some or all of the following: interviewing, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and, making hiring and termination recommendations.
