MissionVet Specialty & Emergency (MVS) in San Antonio, TX, is a multi-disciplinary veterinary specialty and emergency hospital. They are seeking an Overnight ER Veterinary Technician to help build their specialty practice and work in Emergency Outpatient Care. Technicians are an essential part of the hospital, providing exceptional care for patients and compassionate support for clients, with their knowledge and talents genuinely valued. Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Skilled Technicians with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations.
  • A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Emergency and Critical Care is preferred.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.

Responsibilities

  • Experience or familiarity with emergency care, including advanced ICU monitoring, CRI calculations, and fluid rate management.
  • Assessing and stabilizing critically ill patients while working closely with the veterinary team.
  • Administering medications and treatments under the direction of experienced veterinarians.
  • Providing compassionate support to concerned pet owners and keeping them informed about their pets' condition.
  • Ensuring accurate and detailed medical record-keeping.
  • Collaborating with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
