Purpose The Overnight Direct Care Staff at The Coffee Oasis plays a vital role in caring for and supervising youth at our Overnight Teen Shelter. This position involves essential responsibilities, including assisting with screening, evaluation, and orientation of homeless youth, ensuring a welcoming environment. You will handle crisis phone calls and address walk-in situations, providing immediate support to those in need. The role requires completing weekly and monthly program reports and administering medications responsibly. Additionally, you will prepare youth each morning, ensuring they are dressed, fed, and ready for school or other activities, while also promoting healthy habits. Maintaining discipline and recommending behavioral interventions are critical, as is keeping the shelter clean and safe for everyone. Your contributions will be vital in creating a nurturing atmosphere, and participation in meetings and training will enhance your professional growth and effectiveness in this fulfilling role.
