Overnight Concierge SUMMARY The Overnight Concierge is responsible for providing information regarding both the resort and points of interest, while being polished and charismatic. This position combines both Front Desk and Concierge roles which creates a synergistic and seamless service for our guest. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Job duties include; although are not limited to: Front Desk agents have 3 primary purposes, including, but not limited to – 1) Greeting guests with a friendly and sincere welcome, 2) Registering guests and handling cash, and 3) Maintaining proper record keeping for guest accounts. Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and sincere welcome and escort them to their rooms. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information. Accept payment for guests’ accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily. Cash checks and exchange currency for guests. Issue keys and control entrance of safety deposit boxes. Post miscellaneous charges as requested. Concierge agents primary purposes is to book our activity excursions, dining reservation, transportation arrangements and guest request. These are typically done during an extensive pre-arrival process and during the guest stay. Greeting guests with friendly and sincere welcome Providing information and assistance to guests regarding city and hotel attractions or points of interest Booking reservations for guests both within the resort and at outside facilities Properly logging guests requests and performing follow up with guests Familiarizing oneself with each day’s arrival and group activities Maintaining communication with Reception and other departments regarding guest activity or special needs as necessary SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS Provide information and assistance to guests regarding City and Hotel attractions or points of interest. Provide general concierge service upon request, including but not limited to postage, paging, making reservations for guests both within the hotel and outside facilities. Satisfy guest requests efficiently and follow-up. Properly log guest contact and requests. Become acquainted with each day’s arrivals, VIP’s and daily group activities. Maintain communication with Reception and other necessary departments regarding guest activity or special needs. Ensure packages and mail received for incoming guests have been logged and messages left for guest arrival. Monitor and schedule hotel driver and sedan/limo activity to ensure appropriate level of service to all hotel guests requiring transportation. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled/mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
