About The Position
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts routine property walks Interact with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees Lay out the rubber matting and benches to prepare the rink area for the public Clear ice rink of snow/sleet as well as surrounding walkways and bench areas Skate Guards will be responsible for the safety of the skaters while on the Oval Skate Guards will be responsible for checking tickets at the gate and reminding patrons to return rented skates SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will require a large amount of walking, climbing, stooping and possible heavy lifting. This position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, as well as work in both indoor and outdoor settings. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Degree and/or GED One year of customer service experience desired First Aid response training and/or experience desired SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to ice skate Ability to work flexible hours on weekdays, weekends, school vacations and holidays Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions Must be at least 18 years old NOTE The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above. Requirements
