About The Position

The Outside Sales personnel is primarily responsible for proactively selling all products and identifying customer needs in order to generate revenue. Responsible for contributing to the overall marketing and image of the company and share ideas for the innovation and design of products to increase sales.

Requirements

  • This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year university and three to five years of outside sales experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Sales experience
  • Solid math skills and the ability to take accurate measurements
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
  • Willing to work days, evenings and weekends
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe applications

Nice To Haves

  • Military or law enforcement experience a plus
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

  • Making consultative sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers via face-to-face and sales calls to display products in an effort to increase sales
  • Identifying positive features and advantages of TE products
  • Manage customer accounts and opportunities with current information through Sales Force software to track leads, opportunities and closed sales.
  • Manage distributors in sales territories to track progress with leads, opportunities and closed sales.
  • Manage travel expenses by following the Company's Travel & Expense Policy.
  • Ensure timely and quality communication with other departments.
  • Attend trade shows to display products and develop new business opportunities
  • Conferring with prospective customers to determine their needs and determining the most appropriate products for the customers.
  • Negotiating and closing sales and identifying and acting upon opportunities to cross-sell additional products
  • Meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals on a consistent basis.
  • Identify new markets and pursue new customers as available.
  • Keep leadership apprised of significant opportunities
  • Maintain robust customers relationship and maintain effective communication lanes to maximize company goals.
