About The Position

We're seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our Houston, Texas operations. In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for selling pumps, filtration systems, and fluid-handling equipment, managing a defined territory, and building long-term client relationships. If you have experience in equipment rentals and thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven sales environment, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in rental equipment, industrial services, or construction equipment
  • Specific experience selling pumps, filtration systems, or related equipment is strongly preferred
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory independently

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new business while expanding existing customer accounts
  • Promote CPE's rental equipment-including pumps and filtration systems-to commercial, industrial, and municipal clients
  • Manage the full sales cycle: cold calling, quoting, site visits, presentations, and contract negotiation
  • Conduct weekly equipment demos (Tow-n-Shows) and monthly customer Lunch & Learns
  • Provide consistent follow-up, weekly sales reporting, and active call tracking
  • Host and participate in sales blitzes focused on target accounts and territories
  • Stay active in trade associations and attend monthly networking events and trade shows
  • Support after-hours/emergency sales calls to ensure customer satisfaction and uptime
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including branch managers and operations teams
  • Maintain a well-branded company vehicle stocked with up-to-date sales collateral
