About The Position
Hood Distribution is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty wood products, serving customers such as cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, millwork houses, and other related businesses. The company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for its Indianapolis, IN facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and marketing of products to businesses.
Requirements
- Experience in sales and marketing of products to businesses.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in wood products (panels, lumber, and moulding).
Responsibilities
- Within a defined territory, generate sales of wood and wood products to wholesale and end-user commercial customers at planned profit margins by developing effective business relationships with customers.
- Meet customer needs by providing needed products and establishing high quality and customer responsiveness expectations.
- Coordinate outside sales efforts with inside sales reps.
- Assure that the inside sales force is aware of customer service, or quality issues that could affect business.
- Support existing and new customers in receiving credit approvals or resolving accounts receivables questions.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
