This customer-facing position focuses on deepening relationships, understanding customer needs, executing seamless fulfillment, and driving responsible growth across assigned accounts. You will serve as a trusted partner to contractors, haulers, and suppliers, ensuring they receive a world-class experience and see continued value in Milestone’s services and technology. Who Your Internal Customers Are and How This Role Delivers Value to Them: Sales Manager & Growth Leadership: You help inform revenue forecasting, customer health trends, and expansion opportunities that influence territory planning. Market Operations & Dispatch Teams: You provide accurate job details, customer expectations, and real-time insights that support successful order fulfillment. Finance & Accounting: You partner on pricing accuracy, invoicing, payment conversations, and account setup. NewMile Team: You champion new feature adoption, provide customer feedback, and help ensure customers understand and use Milestone’s technology. Business Development Representatives: You support strong prospect-to-account transitions and maintain relationships they initiate. What You’ll Obsess Over to Be Successful Deep, trust-based customer relationships Accurate, smooth onboarding for all new accounts Proactive customer engagement, communication, and site visits Responsible account growth and GP expansion Seamless purchase order management from quote to fulfillment Clean CRM and NewMile data Customer retention and reduction of churn Demonstrating the value of NewMile and driving customer adoption A world-class customer experience, every day

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years in account management, sales, customer service, logistics, transportation, or construction services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management
  • Ability to understand materials, specifications, and hauling requirements
  • High responsiveness and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and learning new technology
  • Ability to travel locally

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Building & Expansion
  • Develop strong relationships with key contacts across assigned accounts
  • Conduct regular site visits and strategic business reviews
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities
  • Onboarding Clients
  • Lead customer onboarding workflows
  • Ensure customers are trained on NewMile and core processes
  • Partner across teams to ensure a smooth transition into active business
  • Customer Needs Assessment & Account Planning
  • Understand customer material needs, truck capacity, timelines, and project schedules
  • Build account plans that support long-term growth and retention
  • Client Retention
  • Execute retention strategies that build loyalty and reduce churn
  • Resolve issues quickly and effectively as point of escalation
  • Lead the Purchase Order Process (Quote ? Fulfillment)
  • Prepare accurate quotes and proposals
  • Provide job-site assessments when needed
  • Partner with Operations on order fulfillment
  • Ensure loads run successfully and customers are satisfied
