About The Position

Fairbank is a leading supplier of Agriculture and Propane parts and equipment, with 14 locations throughout the Midwest and Northwest. Fairbank has done "Whatever It Takes" to provide exceptional service and product knowledge to our loyal customers for over 75 years. We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow an established Nebraska territory focused on fertilzer parts and equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships while identifying new opportunities within farmers, agricultural retailers, cooperatives, and commercial operations. The ideal candidate understands the ag industry, is comfortable working independently, and has a proven ability to sell value-based solutions to customers. Key Responsibilities Territory Management & Growth Manage and grow an established Nebraska sales territory Maintain and strengthen relationships with current customers Identify and develop new business oportunities within assigned territory create and execute territory sales plans to meet and exceed revenue goals Conduct regular in-person customer visits Fertilizer Parts & Equipment Sales Promote fertilizer handling components including pumps, meters, valves, fittings, plumbing systems, and application equipment Identify opportunities for facility upgrades, replacements, and standardization of parts Assist customers with product selection, technical recommendations, and system solutions Collaborate with inside sales and purchasing teams to ensure accurate quotes and timely delivery Customer Relationship Development Build relationships with owners, managers, purchasing teams, and operations decision makers Provide consultative sales support and position the company as a long-term supply partner Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service needs Maintain strong follow-up and communication practices Sales Administration Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, and forecasting Track opportunities and manage sales cycle from prospecting to closing Meet or exceed sales targets and margin expectations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in agricultural equipment, fertilizer, or industrial distribution
  • Knowledge of fertilizer handling systems, parts, and applicaiton equipment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to sell into established territories and grow market share
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to travel regularly within Nebraska
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office as well as ERP order entry systems
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, multi-task, organize and prioritize work
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs safely and easily
  • High School degree or GED required
