Job Summary: The Outside Sales Representative at Holt Industrial Rentals focuses on generating sales, developing customer relationships, and expanding our customer base. This role is responsible for maintaining and growing existing relationships, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, meeting sales targets, and providing legendary customer service to ensure long-term client satisfaction. Essential Functions: Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Sales Prospecting: Identify and reach out to potential clients through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and other sales techniques to generate new business opportunities Lead Qualification: Qualify and prioritize leads based on their needs, budget, and potential to convert into long-term clients Product/Service Presentation: Effectively present and demonstrate our products/services to potential clients, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs Sales Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients, offering support and ensuring they are satisfied with the products/services Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas, contributing to overall company growth and success Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position products and services to meet client needs Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, customer support, and product teams to align sales efforts and ensure seamless customer experiences Reporting & Documentation: Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress towards targets using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals Self-motivated and results-driven Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment High level of organization and time management skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent work experience, college education preferred Minimum of one to three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required; Three to five years of experience preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: None Travel: Extensive driving required; overnight travel required Valid driver’s license required Physical Requirements: This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines Work Environment: This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
