The Role We're seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our Houston, Texas operations. I n this high-i mpact role, yo u'll be responsible for selling pumps, filtration systems, and fluid-handling equipment , managing a defined territory, and building long-term client relationships. If you have experience in equipment rentals and thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driv en sales environment, this role is for you. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in rental equipment, industrial services, or construction equipment
- Strong consultative sales and relationship management skills
- Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory independently
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Business , Sales, or a related field preferred
- Sp ecific experience selling pumps, filtration systems, or related equipment is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Prospect and close new business while expanding existing customer accounts
- Promote CPE's rental equipment-including pumps and filtration systems-to commercial, industrial, and municipal clients
- Manage the full sales cycle: cold calling, quoting, site visits, presentations, and contract negotiation
- Conduct weekly equipment demos (Tow-n-Shows) and monthly customer Lunch & Learns
- Provide consistent follow-up, weekly sales reporting, and active call tracking
- Host and participate in sales blitzes focused on target accounts and territories
- Stay active in trade associations and attend monthly networking events and trade shows
- Support after-hours/emergency sales calls to ensure customer satisfaction and uptime
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including branch managers and operations teams
- Maintain a well-branded company vehicle stocked with up-to-date sales collateral
