About The Position

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting overall sales growth across the state of Florida. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to identify and act on opportunities using a variety of tools and resources — including Dodge Construction Network and other industry platforms. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for driving sales growth through proactive customer engagement, lead management, and effective coordination with the outside sales team. This role focuses on revenue generation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence by managing quotes, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records of all sales.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and lead generation tools such as Dodge Construction Network, CRM systems, and market research.
  • Develop a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects across assigned territories in Florida.
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and site assessments to understand customer needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through closing and follow-up, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate project execution, delivery, and post-sale support.
  • Represent the company with integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.
  • Address customer questions, challenges, and service need promptly with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Maintain a positive company image through strong communication and reliable follow-through.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Participate in ongoing product and sales training to strengthen knowledge and performance.
  • Actively seek feedback and coaching to drive professional growth and continuous improvement
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned products, customers, or territories.
  • Utilize company tools (CRM, Dodge app, or lead spreadsheets) to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Convert leads into revenue by maintaining consistent follow-up and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with outside sales and management to strategize and execute sales initiatives.
  • Provide timely, accurate quotes and ensure all customer inquiries are handled efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain thorough product knowledge to support customer decisions and drive-up selling opportunities.
  • Enter and manage sales orders accurately within company systems.
  • Maintain detailed notes on customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
  • Support pricing consistency, credit terms, and company sales policies.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and product availability for active customers.
  • Partner with outside sales and inside support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Contribute to team meetings with updates on sales progress and customer trends.
  • Share feedback from customers to help improve processes, service, and product offerings.
  • Meet or exceed performance expectations as defined by company scorecards or KPIs.
  • Continuously improve product and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and accountability in all tasks.
