About The Position

An international beverage manufacturer is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to support their Asian Market retail segment. This role is essential in driving business growth through a combination of account management, new business development, and field sales activity. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. This position requires over 50% field sales work, including approximately 30% out-of-state travel.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience is required.
  • Experience in creating sales materials using Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Willingness to travel out of state for customer meetings, with approximately 30% travel required.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel for customer visits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the Asian Market and/or the FMCG sector is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Chinese, Korean, Japanese is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Promote products to both new and existing retail and restaurant customers, delivering excellent customer service to drive sales.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with retail partners (grocery stores, supermarkets, specialty food stores) within the Asian Market segment.
  • Conduct outreach via phone calls, in-person visits, and presentations, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of product offerings.
  • Identify and engage potential customers through market research, sourcing, and industry trend analysis.
  • Support customers by creating effective product displays, stocking shelves, and providing promotional materials to enhance retail performance.
  • Develop customized sales materials, presentations, and reports using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate product benefits and sales strategies.
  • Work closely with wholesalers and distributors to exchange market and customer insights.
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders in alignment with agreed terms and customer expectations.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, providing updates on activities, progress, and KPIs.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of leads and customer interactions within the company's CRM system.
  • Provide ongoing customer support to ensure satisfaction and identify further sales opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
