About The Position

Do you have experience in a sales environment? If so, we’d like you to join our team as an Outside Sales Manager. About the Role: You will: Manage, recruit, hire, develop, and train a team of sales personnel. Set clear performance expectations and goals for teammates and conduct regular performance evaluations to assess progress and provide feedback. Work with PCM to establish revenue and margin targets. Establish individual sales goals and hold salespeople accountable for achieving goals. Analyze financial reports and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, manage assets and increase ROI and profit sharing. Attract and retain customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and account expansion to maximize review potential. Monitor quotations proposals and ensure they are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures and include an appropriate profit margin. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats and growth opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to inform sales strategies and tactics. Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports and analysis to track sales performance, measure progress against goals and provide visibility into sales pipeline and revenue projections. Find innovative ways to grow sales with existing customers and identify and implement opportunities for value-added services. Investigate and resolve customer problems, address pricing deductions and material returns timely and in accordance with Company policy and procedure, follow up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction. Join industry associations to stay informed about market conditions, new technologies, and trends. Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years outside sales experience, contractor sales preferred.
  • 1+ year leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center
  • Possess leadership qualities and be viewed as a leader.
  • Have experience promoting a productive and positive team environment, coaching staff to do their best work to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Possess strong personal sales skills and the ability to lead a highly effective sales team.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain weekly sales plans, call reports, and customer contact files, and to analyze customer data.
  • Be able to interpret financial report data to determine success/failure of plans and to take appropriate action to adjust business plans ensuring success.
  • Successfully build influential relationships and trust with customers and key vendor partners through open and interactive communication.
  • Demonstrate the deep product knowledge required to answer customer questions and identify opportunities to upsell or cross sell.
  • Develop a consultative mindset to understand our customer’s business, personal goals and invest in their success as a trusted advisor.
  • Be able to overcome customer objections by recommending profitable solutions, adding value beyond price.
  • Be able to build positive working relationships and inspire teamwork with co-workers.
  • Possess excellent communication and listening skills, be able to persuade.
  • Be self-directed with the ability to plan and organize effective sales calls.
