About The Position

Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation to the mission-critical industry, is searching for an Outside Sales Account Executive to join our Portland/Vancouver team. This person will have a sales territory primarily in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA with the potential of selling throughout Oregon and parts of Idaho. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in electrical sales, looking to leverage their expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving sales of electrical testing, maintenance, and arc flash studies across a diverse client base including general contractors, electrical contractors, distributors, and building owners.

Requirements

  • Currently employed as a field sales engineer at an OEM or engineering firm OR experience with an electrical contractor or project manager with a strong sales background specifically in the electrical industry OR junior candidates who are actively engaged in a sales development program at a distributor or an OEM
  • Proven track record in electrical distributor sales roles
  • Ability to travel within the territory as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure long-term business growth.
  • Conduct regular client visits to demonstrate product offerings, understand client needs, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and presentations to effectively communicate the value of our services.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities to deliver greater value to our customers.
