About The Position

Job Title: Outside Sales Associate Industry: Japanese Food and Beverage Distributor Location: El Monte, California Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 【Essential Job Functions】 Meets the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by the manager Visits customers and potential customers to provide support, information, and sell the Companys products Coordinates with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport Responds to and communicates with all customers in a timely manner Coordinates urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs Educates customers on how the products or services can benefit them Inputs and updates orders within the Company database accordingly Maintains and safely navigates the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy Participates in the weekly sales meetings Attends semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend Attends Company events and functions outside of normal working hours Other duties as assigned Obligation to answer to all management as requested 【Physical Requirements】 Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours Able to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walking Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally Able to use the phone for extended periods of time Working Conditions o Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the office 【Other Requirements】 Business level English- Read/write/speak/listen Business level Korean required - Read/write/speak/listen; Native Level Korean preferred Has and maintains a valid drivers license and a clean driving record Maintains a positive attitude Able to work independently and as a team Able to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload Passes the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree and above preferred 2+ years of Food and/or Sales experience preferred 【Knowledge and Skills】 Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as markups, discounts, counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc. Has strong customer service and problem-solving skills Has strong communications and interpersonal skills Demonstrates basic Microsoft Office proficiency Knowledge of ERP systems, especially AS400, highly preferred Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors preferred 【Compensation】 Salary: DOE $47,840 - $60,320/year (commission-based) Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision 100% covered by the company, 401K plan (4% matching) 10 PTO days, 7 observed holidays, 5 personal holidays, 6 sick leave days. Requirements

  • Business level English- Read/write/speak/listen
  • Business level Korean required - Read/write/speak/listen; Native Level Korean preferred
  • Has and maintains a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
