About The Position

The Outside Parts Sales Consultant drives sales growth by developing strong customer relationships and promoting our parts inventory. This role involves contacting key decision-makers to sell parts, conducting detailed prospecting, and using available tools and data to identify and pursue new opportunities. You will plan smart, efficient sales routes, follow up with existing and new customers, and incorporate promotional sales into your daily strategy. A core part of the role includes "tote and promote" efforts—showing products directly to customers and providing them with sales materials to highlight current offers. Building trust and maintaining communication with your customer base is key to long-term success in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Someone with good communication skills and a good attitude
  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Professional salesperson who can develop relationships and cold call etc. preferred
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Someone with prior mechanic experience would be preferred

Responsibilities

  • Contact decision makers to sell parts and other products
  • Gather data to aid in the sale of products
  • Take advantage of available tools to prospect
  • Conduct lots of planning for best ways to work smart
  • Create relationships with customers and get to know them
  • Follow up with customers after sales or when setting up new customers
  • Work promo sales into agendas and pass the sales along to the customers
  • Promote products to increase sales and allow customers to inspect items
  • Provide customers with sales books to show customers what’s on sale
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and overall function.
