About The Position

Within our Value Added Companies, Outside Industrial Sales Representatives, aggressively drive sales growth through direct and in-person interactions with both potential and existing customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, and presenting tailored solutions to meet those needs while ultimately contributing to the company's revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Business acumen and having the ability to understand and apply fundamental business principles to make informed decisions that drive sales success. Understanding company strategy, its products and services, its customers, and the broader market and industry.
  • Sales acumen and understanding how the business operates, how revenue is generated and the critical systems and processes that enable profitability.
  • Effectively communicates and actively listens to team members, cross-functional teams, and customers. Demonstrated competence in developing and delivering presentations using technology and in person conversations.
  • Technologically savvy and willing to learn new applications and approaches.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen by implementing business goals and objectives and developing personal goals for personal growth.
  • Identifies and solves quality concerns in a timely manner. Possess and leads with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follows safety standards, policies, and updates.
  • Strong analytical skills by evaluating data and identifying trends.
  • Holds oneself accountable for achieving expectations and completing responsibilities.
  • Willingly shares experience and knowledge with those who are less tenured and who could benefit from industry and sales skills.
  • Seeks opportunities for self-development and willingly participates in required training.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred (sales management, marketing). At least 5-7 years of applicable experience could be substituted for formal education.
  • Five to seven years of generating sales success in new markets.
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 suite. Able to communicate, collaborate, and present on Microsoft Teams as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of the function and associated with manufacturing (OEM) hydraulic mobile equipment.
  • Sales management, marketing, and technical sales are required.
  • Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.

Responsibilities

  • Integrates the Vision, Mission, and Values of the company for maximum effectiveness.
  • Identifies potential customers and qualifies them based on their needs and potential. Conducts outreach opportunities through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintains positive business relationships by contacting engineering and purchasing prospects, building rapport, and understanding their needs. Develops strong networks that lead to new opportunities and referrals.
  • Retains a deep knowledge of company products, services, cost-benefit analysis, and delivers compelling presentations with tailored solutions.
  • Provides ongoing support to existing customers. Build trust and create a positive experience for everyone.
  • Leverages sales enablement tools and strategies to enhance ability to effectively engage with customers and improve sales efficiency.
  • Negotiates prices and terms while closing sales deals.
  • Tracks sales performance, analyzing data, and generating reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement are crucial for optimizing sales performance.
  • Collaborates with internal teams such as marketing, sales, finance, and product development.
  • Achieves or exceeds sales quotas and goals within designated timeframes.
  • Able to adapt and be resilient with market changes, customer preferences, and supply chain challenges.
