About The Position

Absence of any related duties or functions in this document does not imply that incumbent may be exempt from assignments required to support production. The primary responsibility of this position is to unload and store received dry goods until needed in the plant for production.

Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong math skills and basic computer skills required.
• The employee must complete PIT training
• Forklift certification.
• Scissor - lift certification.
• All employees are required to attend employee and safety orientation prior to performing the above duties.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is r egularly required to stand ; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• The employee frequently is required to talk or hear
• T he employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• The employee is required to wear a hair net, beard net (if necessary,) sl ip proof boots, smock, and ear protection.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with scissor lift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials from incoming vans and stack them to assigned places as needed
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular inspections
• Remove trash/offal from facility in timely manner and place in proper receptacles
• Utilize offal auger system to ensure timely offal removal.
• Ensure offal area is maintained in an orderly manner.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the faci lity and grounds
• Store goods in designated area
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by management or supervisor.
