About The Position

The DH Pace Company is a family-owned and privately held business with annual sales over $1 billion through 60+ offices located across the continental United States. The Company is an industry leader in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair of a complete range of commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking and security products. In 2026, DH Pace is celebrating its 100th anniversary in business. DH Pace Company, Inc., will hire an Outside Commercial Sales Representative to represent our Entry Door Division for our commercial line of business in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. You will have the opportunity to sell the following doors and door related products: Specialty Doors, Automatic Operators, Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, Door Hardware, and Electrical Hardware. If you have a knack for sales and business development, please apply! You will have the opportunity to directly impact sales by cultivating new customers and fostering long-term relationships in Houston and surrounding areas. Call on commercial and industrial accounts meeting with decision makers to professionally present our commercial entry door product lines in an effort to engineer a door solution for customers such as schools, hospitals, industrial buildings, and municipalities Develop scope of work for each proposal and personally handle every detail from initial call to closing the sale; must be proficient with Windows based programs and sales tools Meet or exceed sales and gross profit performance standards Provide timely, accurate estimates and proposals Maintain and update Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) daily Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Prefer a minimum three (3) years of outside sales experience calling on business to business – ideally calling on commercial accounts selling new construction and retrofit projects to both end-users and contractors; however, will consider other applicable experience, especially if “mechanical” type products have been sold
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License
  • Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, highly preferred

  • Meet or exceed sales and gross profit performance standards
  • Provide timely, accurate estimates and proposals
  • Maintain and update Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) daily
  • Other duties as assigned
