Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and driven Outreach Specialist to join our team. The Outreach Specialist will play a critical role in expanding our reach and connecting with individuals, families, and communities in need of behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of mental health issues, and a proactive approach to outreach initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Relevant work experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in outreach, community engagement, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral health issues, including mental illness, substance abuse, and trauma-informed care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations and effectively convey complex information.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage target populations, including individuals, families, schools, community organizations, and healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, including primary care physicians, social workers, counselors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community about mental health resources, treatment options, and stigma reduction.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
• Organize and participate in community events, health fairs, and other networking opportunities to promote behavioral health services.
• Provide information and support to individuals seeking mental health services, including assistance with navigating insurance coverage and scheduling appointments.
• Track and report outreach activities, including outreach efforts, community engagement, and referral sources.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues in behavioral health to inform outreach strategies and initiatives.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to behavioral health outreach.
