The Youth Services Department serves youth up to the age of 25 who are currently at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. The Youth Center offers services in an LGBTQ+ safe and affirming environment and serves as an entry point to assist youth making the transition from homelessness to housing. Services include meals, clothing, support groups, a charter high school, GED and college prep program, an employment preparation, training and placement program, case management, counseling, Interim Housing and a transitional living program (TLP). Community-based programs include services for youth at-home, in school or in systems of care. This position requires a strong customer service background with emphasis on engagement and team participation. Under direct supervision, the Outreach Specialist V will support program outreach, engagements, and activities focusing on prevention, harm reduction, and access to health and mental health services. The Outreach Specialist V builds rapport with LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults to engage them in services.
