About The Position

The Outreach & Recruitment Specialist is a pilot, part-time role designed to expand Girl Scout membership through direct recruitment and short-term, staff-led troop facilitation. Under the guidance of the Membership Manager, in coordination with the Program Manager as needed, this position proactively engages families through school- and community-based recruitment efforts and launches new Girl Scout troops in established afterschool programs or community center settings using a paid-facilitator model. This role blends outreach, sales, and program delivery. The facilitator serves as the face of Girl Scouts at recruitment events, converts interest into registered members, and provides consistent troop leadership while actively working to transition troops to volunteer leadership. The position is critical to reaching new families, increasing access in under-resourced or high-need communities, and testing innovative membership growth strategies. This position is temporary through May 31, 2026, and will be evaluated as a pilot for effectiveness, sustainability, and alignment with council goals.
