About The Position

Trueblood Medical Services team provides community-based medical support to Trueblood Class Members who are enrolled in Pierce County Trueblood Element Programs including FHARPS, FPATH and OCRP with low-barrier, jail and/or community-based, and timely access to medical care, medication maintenance, and prescribing services. This position is a necessary, ancillary, safety-net to address the gaps in the Medicaid-based behavioral health system while the Trueblood Element Programs work towards establishing long-term behavioral health care for the Program’s Participants. This program will ensure that eligible Program Participants have access to the health care that they deserve on their terms. Person-centered services and interventions will be provided that are equitable and racially just, using trauma-informed, harm-reduction approaches. Requirements

  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • One (1) year of clinic or hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • You will perform direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area, assisting medical staff with patient care and follow-up
  • You will utilize your knowledge towards the integration of available standards, resources, and data
  • You will assist with office duties as needed, applying your discretion, good judgment, and diplomacy towards the excellent office and patient care management
  • Partner by implementing your service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
  • You will effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to your work duties
