The Outreach Liaison is responsible for implementing a coordinated referral partner marketing plan designed to increase external referrals to AVP and various eye care practices and providers operating in a sales outreach-oriented function. The Outreach Liaison will execute sales and marketing strategies focused on increasing loyalty and preference among external provider referral sources for AVP doctors and clinics, thereby accelerating the growth of AVP and liaison’s respective territory. Another key aspect of this role is continuous adherence to AVP Compliance Program and applicable compliance parameters issued by the Compliance Officer.

Requirements

  • BA required (unless you have significant healthcare sales experience)
  • Minimum 2 year sales experience in metrics-driven environment with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals
  • Healthcare sales experience required
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills when working with internal staff and external providers and their teams
  • Must have reliable automobile, valid AZ driver’s license, and adequate insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Industry (Optometry and/or Ophthalmology) experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop, facilitate, and execute a regular cadence of face-to-face visits and meetings with current and potential professional referral sources (35+ face-to-face calls with decision makers per week), managing a practice referral pipeline of 200 accounts
  • Utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) system on a daily/weekly basis to track sales and marketing strategy activities and build, develop, follow up, and maintain current and potential referral sources within the company’s current and future markets
  • Utilize the AVP reporting dashboard to build, develop, and maintain current and potential referral sources within the company’s defined markets. Analyze referral patterns and target areas for growth. Gather and interpret the data and reports necessary to determine priority areas for growing referrals to AVP providers
  • Increase referral volume above the company's established baseline targets within specified time periods and serve as a supporting point of contact for questions or concerns regarding referrals. Drive consistent referral volume through strategic territory management, regular touchpoints using a structured sales process and exceptional follow-through
  • Actively partner with the Regional VP, Liaison program manager, Marketing, Operations, along with other corporate resources, to co-develop overall organic growth strategies, market analysis, and identify/execute on best practices for referral growth and provide proactive feedback on market dynamics. Partner with Regional VP, Clinic Directors, and Managers to address location-specific concerns
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the services, packages, technologies, and advancements AVP offers are to communicate knowledgeably with external ODs and referring providers
  • Remain educated on AVP Compliance Parameters and support a focus on compliance with the AVP Compliance Office
  • Support all referring provider needs and concerns are being addressed in a timely & efficient manner
  • Regularly arrange meetings and introductions with referring entities and AVP providers as identified by Regional VPs and Operations
  • Assist Clinic Managers in rural locations with developing and maintaining referral relationships with outside physicians
  • Coordinate with marketing leadership to develop and utilize sales materials
  • Analyze referral trends, outreach effectiveness, and competitive activity
  • Build quarterly performance recaps for leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and opportunities
