About The Position

Cottage Health seeks a Market Outreach Liaison - Physicians & Employers , a community-facing ambassador who builds and sustains high trust relationships with physicians and their teams, develops employer partnerships, and monitors competitor intelligence to drive aligned growth across priority service lines. This role spends the majority of time on physician relationship outreach and service recovery, while dedicating approximately 25% of time to employer liaison activities (e.g., direct access pathways, preferred provider arrangements (Committed Access Partnership Program (CAPP), onsite clinic and/or screening programs). The position supports strategic goals for Cottage Health, including Cottage Medical Group, Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories and affiliated independent providers across Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and Kern Counties. Requirements

  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily travel; must maintain state-required insurance.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data/reporting tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of physician office workflows and referral patterns; familiarity with local market dynamics.
  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare business development, physician relations, or healthcare sales.
  • Demonstrated success in relationship management, customer service, and service recovery.
  • Experience engaging employers on health solutions (direct-to-employer, preferred provider arrangements, onsite clinics, screenings).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Physician Relationship Outreach & Growth: establish, maintain, and enhance collaborative relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists and office staff; serve as primary point of contact for access concerns, feedback, and service recovery.
  • Develop data-driven outreach plans for prioritized service lines and geographies; segment markets; set visit cadences; coordinate provider field days and office visits.
  • Lead or coordinate provider onboarding and integration activities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that translate program strengths, access changes, and referral workflows; collaborate with Marketing and CME on materials and events.
  • Track activity and outcomes in CRM; monitor referral patterns and leakage.
