About The Position

Make a meaningful impact helping individuals and families access the healthcare coverage they deserve. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. As an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist, you’ll be a trusted resource in our rural communities — supporting patients and community members in understanding health insurance options and enrolling in coverage that helps them stay well. You’ll provide education at our centers and out in the community, ensuring individuals have the knowledge and confidence to use their benefits to live healthier lives. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about connecting people with care, enjoys engaging with the community, and thrives in a role that blends outreach, education, and direct support.

Requirements

  • High School/GED required
  • State of Missouri Insurance Navigator’s licensure required within 6 months of hire
  • Federal Certified Application Counselor or Federal Navigator’s licensure required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Engage both current patients and community members to educate on available health insurance options.
  • Support individuals in enrolling in Marketplace, MO HealthNet, or CHIP coverage and understanding how to use their benefits.
  • Build relationships with local organizations (health departments, hospitals, human service partners) to coordinate outreach efforts.
  • Provide community education through presentations, health fairs, and staff training.
  • Assist with coverage appeals and access-related questions.
  • Complete required trainings, documentation, and program reporting.
  • Collaborate on referrals and navigation support to address insurance concerns.
