About The Position

General Duties and Responsibilities Take patient’s medical history. Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments. Order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform. Review test results to identify any abnormal findings. Recommend and design a plan of treatment. Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being. Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene. Understand and educate patients on HARM reduction techniques. Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options.

Requirements

  • Current and valid CRNP Certification.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Active and unrestricted license in Ohio.
  • Successful passing of Child Abuse and FBI Clearances.
  • Clean OH Driver’s License.
  • Ability to drive larger vehicles.
  • Technical skills with van equipment.
  • Emphasis on HARM reduction.
  • Strong communication skills with both professionals and patients from all demographics.
  • Experience with patient-centered, trauma-informed care.
  • LGBTQIA cultural competency.
  • Commitment to providing high quality care to historically underserved populations.
  • Knowledge and comfort working with patients with drug and alcohol use disorders.
  • Understanding on how to navigate medical systems.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word, and how to use Electronic Medical Records.
  • Ability to be compassionate while dealing with patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team-based care.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and, at times, excited atmosphere.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to adapt to a work environment that is constantly changing and not always structured.
  • Need to be culturally competent while working, including being gender sensitive and pronoun aware.
  • Non-judgmental approach to patient care.
  • Technical skills with required office equipment.
  • Patience and great attention to detail.
  • Completely understand the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA.
