About The Position
Responsible for the daily operations of the off-site facility for private patient services
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year work-related experience.
Responsibilities
- Professionally welcomes patients and assists in the gathering of all pertinent information and specimens
- Completes requisitions
- Collects all required specimens using proper safety techniques
- Identifies and labels all specimens and keeps logs (manual and/or computerized)
- Reviews accuracy of billing information and forwards specimens to appropriate testing facility
- Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies
- Maintains a clean and neat work area
- Follows-up on all test results in a timely manner
- Answers phone inquiries about all specimens collected
- Delivers specimen to laboratories personally, if necessary
- Provides weekly reports as requested on site for the Outreach Manager
- Remains familiar with laboratory safety practices
- Meets criteria for competency assessment in all areas
