About The Position

Position Summary: Provide Athletic Training Services to a local high school/college in coordination with physicians at Upstate Orthopedics. Infrequently provide patient care support in a clinic setting. Current High School Opening: Bishop Grimes 25 hours/week with 15 hours/week clinic or assistance at other schools

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training
• Current BOC Athletic Training Certification
• Current NYS Athletic Training Licensure from Dept. of Education
• BLS CPR/AED Certification - American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Availability after school hours to provide care to student athletes as schedule allows
• Provide home game coverage to assigned school.
• Travel with Varsity Football to away games as schedule allows.
• Provide care in injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries, first aid, and emergency care.
• Documentation of Injuries/Illness
• Assist Athletic Director as needed
• Proper Referral to overseeing Physician
• Abide by standing orders with Physician and scope of practice in NYS
