As a Coyote Ambassador at the Campus Tours and Visitor Center, you will play a vital role in shaping the experiences of prospective students and their families, guiding them on their journey to becoming part of the CSUSB community. About Us: The Campus Tours and Visitor Center, part of the Office of Outreach and Student Recruitment, is your go-to resource for everything related to visiting our campus, applying for admission, and taking the next steps toward enrollment. Our Coyote Ambassadors are the friendly faces and welcoming voices that make a lasting impression on visitors, helping them discover all that CSUSB has to offer. Why Become a Coyote Ambassador? - Make a Difference: As the first point of contact for many visitors, you have the unique opportunity to inspire future Coyotes. Your enthusiasm and knowledge could be the reason a student chooses to join our community. - Develop Skills: Gain invaluable experience in customer service, public speaking, and event coordination, all while enhancing your leadership skills in a supportive environment. - Connect with Campus Resources: Learn about CSUSB’s diverse programs and services, ensuring that you can provide visitors with the best information and assistance. - Engage in Campus Life: Participate in events and activities that allow you to share your own CSUSB experience and connect with fellow students. Your Role: As a Coyote Ambassador, you will engage in three key areas: Operations, Campus Tours, and Outreach Events. Operations: - Provide essential clerical support, including answering phones and emails, scheduling tours, and managing visitor inquiries. - Dispense vital information about CSUSB, its programs, and campus life to guests. - Welcome prospective students during their visits and assist them with parking and campus navigation. - Maintain accurate student databases and assist with CRM processes. Campus Tours: - Conduct engaging individual and group tours, both in-person and virtually, showcasing the best of CSUSB. - Share your passion for our campus by delivering informative admissions presentations and answering questions. - Create memorable experiences that highlight the positive aspects of attending CSUSB. Campus Events: - Participate in mandatory Outreach and Student Recruitment events, including evenings and weekends. - Serve on student panels to discuss the benefits of higher education and your personal CSUSB journey. - Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
