This position will be located in Gulfport, Mississippi. At Gulfport Job Corps, we’re looking for an Outreach & Admissions / Career Transition Services Manager who can lead with purpose, build strong teams, and connect young people to real opportunities. This job goes far beyond managing a department. It’s about opening doors, building futures, and making a lasting impact on the lives of young people in our community. Job Corps – a federally funded program through the U.S. Department of Labor - provides education, hands-on training, and career development opportunities to young adults ages 16–24. If you’re passionate about workforce development, leadership, and creating pathways to success – this is the role for you!

Requirements

  • Know that numbers matter, but people matter more.
  • Can balance structure, compliance, and compassion.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Have at least 4 years’ experience managing teams.
  • Have at least 3 years’ working with youth.
  • Are able to pass an employment screening and background check.
  • Have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Business Administration, Social Services, or Management disciplines are preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ of Job Corps-related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creating outreach strategies to connect with young people in the community.
  • Coaching staff to achieve goals and grow professionally.
  • Building relationships with employers and community partners.
  • Supervising processes and systems in place to support the Job Corps mission.
  • Helping students achieve their career goals.
