About The Position

Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic Outpatient Therapist - Full Time to work in a Group therapy setting. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with the following groups: The Licensed Outpatient Program Therapist performs social services and psychotherapy functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while providing assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy treatment of individuals, couples, families, and groups to assist patient’s in achieving their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, psycho-education, complete specialized clinical psychotherapy services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. Location: 3550 East Pinchot Avenue, Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Monday – Friday (day and evening positions available) Website: https://valleyhospital-phoenix.com/

Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Counseling, Social Work, or a clinical related mental health field.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health, with direct experience in family, group, and individual therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
  • License: Outpatient Program Therapist must possess an Arizona State license in counseling, social work, or clinical related mental health field (LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW). Other licensure to be evaluated as needed.
  • Additional Requirements: CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior (HWC) training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
