About The Position

Outpatient Therapist - Addiction Recovery | Anabranch Recovery Center | Terre Haute, Indiana About the Job: Help others heal — and rediscover hope. As a Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals overcome addiction and mental health challenges through compassionate, evidence-based care. PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Therapist I is a part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients and their families with most emphasis on completing Psychosocial Assessments; providing individual, group and family therapy for patients; facilitating psycho-educational training, family meetings, discharge planning; assisting in program development; developing, implementing, and reviewing Treatment Plans; and providing linkage to outside resources. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology (required)
• At least one year of experience providing therapy across diverse age groups
• Skilled in clinical interviewing, assessment, and treatment planning using the DSM
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with commitment to ethical, trauma-informed care
• Active or eligible state licensure as a professional therapy provider (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment and discharge plans.
• Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions using psychotherapeutic techniques to address emotional and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to recommend interventions and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop specialized therapy groups or program modules tailored to patient needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and families in acute distress.
• Connect patients with community resources including housing, employment, legal, and social support services.
• Coordinate aftercare and discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care beyond treatment.
