About The Position

The Heart Institute (Lee Physician Group) is seeking an experienced RN to join their Outpatient Cardiology practice located on Bass Road in Fort Myers, FL. The RN Team Lead plays a vital role in leading clinical quality, patient safety, education and training of new staff. Responsible for providing, overseeing, and coordinating nursing care for patients within a complex department or highly procedural area; based on established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards. Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care, through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Exhibits critical thinking and problem solving while serving as clinician, teacher, researcher, team leader and professional development. Collaborates with other professional disciplines, to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and lean performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of Three (3) years of relevant RN experience in area of specialty required.
  • Certification in appropriate specialty preferred.
  • PALS/ACLS as appropriate for specialty within 90 days of employment.
  • BLS required.
  • State of Florida RN license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in nursing or healthcare field preferred.
  • Project management and quality improvement experience preferred.
  • Above average communication skills.
  • Adaptable and participative with technology changes
