About The Position

Responsible for registration of patients, verification of insurance benefits, pre certifications and verification of demographic information. This position is deemed essential . Essential staff are expected to report to work during inclement weather.

Requirements

  • High school graduate (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Two years’ experience in a medical related field preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively able to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner.
  • Must be able to type 35 wpm and be computer literate.
  • The candidate/employee must be committed to excellent customer service when dealing with all types of patients, internal and external.
  • Able to perform in frequent stressful situations
  • Able to read, write, speak and comprehend the English Language.
  • Perceiving the nature of sound by ear.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
  • Clarity of 20 inches or less

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays and shift rotations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will also include payment collection and posting, and financial assistance applications as needed.
