About The Position

Under the direction of the Outpatient Services manager and/or supervisor, functions as a registrar in processing registrations for outpatients at any outpatient imaging sites. Conducts professional patient interviews obtaining demographic, financial and biographical information. Processes registrations in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. Is responsible for collecting POS (point of service) payment, including counseling the patient on payment plan options as well as outstanding balance. Is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior. Why Parkview? Requirements

  • Must be high school graduate or equivalent/GED.
  • One year hospital experience required, preferably in the Imaging Department.
  • Must have general computer skills and applications, including work experience using Microsoft Windows.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must attend the required Patient Access Services training class; and must pass test upon completion with a score of 90% or better.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi- task and work independently using critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical terminology preferred.
