About The Position

The Department of Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Neuromuscular Neurologist to join our growing faculty. Expertise in the specific area of nerve and muscle diseases is required, as well as Board certification/board eligibility in Neurology and Neuromuscular diseases, and EMG and/or Clinical Neurophysiology. The successful candidate will also have strong experience in teaching and medical student/resident education, as this position will be involved in the teaching of medical students, neurology residents, and Neurophysiology fellows. There will also be opportunity for the candidate to be involved with Neuromuscular clinical trial research programs with many possibilities for collaboration university wide. The MUSC Neuromuscular Program is supported by a Nurse Practitioner. MUSC is a leading clinical Neuromuscular program within the state of South Carolina, was the first established state MDA Care Center by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, is an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence, and a member of the Northeast (NEALS) consortium. The MUSC Neuromuscular clinics offer advanced diagnostics, multidisciplinary planning and a full spectrum of medical and innovative therapies. Our team of clinicians and researchers are all working together in leading-edge facilities designed specifically for the needs of neuromuscular patients.
