About The Position

Hamilton Diabetes and Endocrinology Center is a specialty education and physician practice focused on diabetes and endocrinology operated by Hamilton Medical Center (HMC). Ability to perform nursing services and set standards to assure professional, skilled program of care and treatment to support evidence based standards of care. Nurse must possess exceptional communication skills and ability to accurately communicate education and instruction to an individual or group of individuals, must be comfortable with public speaking. Nurse is a self-motivated individual who can work independently, responsible for reviewing medical records, assessing patient needs, making recommendations to providers and educating the patient and/or family. Nurse is responsible for assisting department director with diabetes quality measures, educating staff as assigned, participate in community education activities, updating education materials, trouble-shooting disease specific equipment, participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend department meetings.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate of Science in Nursing
  • Current RN License in the State of Georgia
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Minimum of two years related experience required
  • Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
