About The Position

Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Behavioral Health and Baystate Health, is seeking a Behavioral Health Outpatient Coordinator. This role is part of a team committed to providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards and patient expectations. Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors, utilizing evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Requirements

  • Must have experience with clerical duties.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Handle with Care is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience on an outpatient or inpatient unit preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the efficient, compliant, and professional operation of outpatient behavioral health programs.
  • Delivers a high standard of customer service.
  • Oversees day-to-day office operations.
  • Oversees non-clinical staff performance.
  • Oversees administrative workflows to support quality patient care and a positive patient experience.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, licensing requirements, and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
  • Supports admissions, scheduling, documentation, audits, payer coordination, and discharge planning in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
