About The Position

Provide individual therapy to adolescents enrolled in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Conduct biopsychosocial and risk assessments; evaluate and respond to self-injurious behavior (SIB) and suicidal ideation (SI) using evidence-based safety planning and crisis protocols. Develop, implement, and routinely update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment where teens can process emotions, build insight, and practice coping skills. Provide family psychoeducation, coaching, and support to strengthen caregiver involvement and reinforce treatment goals at home. Coordinate care through case management, including referrals, collaboration with schools/providers, and linkage to community resources to support continuity of care. Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, supervision, and ongoing professional development. Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge planning) in accordance with program policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Independent licensure ( LCPC,LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) or provisional licensure (LPC, LSW, or equivalent) with the ability to practice under supervision per state requirements.
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong clinical interest in working with adolescents experiencing self-harm and/or suicidal ideation.
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based interventions for self-harm and suicide risk (e.g., DBT-informed skills, CBT, safety planning, means-reduction counseling).
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and/or experience in DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed care.
  • Prior experience in PHP/IOP, residential, or other higher-acuity adolescent settings.
  • Crisis intervention experience, including suicide risk management and development of collaborative safety plans with teens and caregivers.
  • Willing to obtain CADC.
