Requirements

  • Previous bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar required.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for hospitality and guest engagement.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (cases of liquor, trays, supplies).
  • Manual dexterity for precise drink preparation and service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every guest promptly with warmth and professionalism.
  • Craft and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy, consistency, and creativity.
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver items to tables as needed.
  • Provide personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Create an engaging, upbeat bar atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and menu offerings.
  • Prepare garnishes, syrups, mixers, and specialty ingredients to ensure efficiency during service.
  • Stay current on industry trends and introduce new beverage ideas when appropriate.
  • Ensure all beverages meet presentation and quality standards.
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify legal drinking age.
  • Accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service stations, and assigned dining areas.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and supply management.
  • Operate and maintain bar equipment properly.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Support team members during high-volume periods.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new bartenders and servers.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful team environment.
  • Upsell premium beverages, specialty cocktails, and featured menu items.
  • Promote daily specials and seasonal offerings.
  • Support cost control through proper pouring, waste reduction, and inventory awareness.
