About The Position

Join the dynamic hospitality team at JB Duke Hotel as a Restaurant Server/Bartender. In this dual-role position, you’ll deliver exceptional service in an upscale dining environment, serving as both a knowledgeable server and skilled bartender. You’ll warmly welcome guests, present menus, take orders, craft and serve beverages, and deliver thoughtfully prepared food with professionalism and care. This role calls for someone who excels in guest interaction, can confidently make menu and beverage recommendations, and maintains a polished, attentive dining experience from start to finish. Prior experience in fine dining, bartending, or upscale service is preferred, but a genuine passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are essential. Schedule flexibility is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Required Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Experience in customer service roles is advantageous.
• Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment efficiently.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in fine dining, bartending, or upscale service is preferred, but a genuine passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality service to all restaurant guests.
• Provide efficient and friendly food and beverage service in the restaurant.
• Write guests checks to prescribed specifications and uses a computerized machine to pre-check items.
• Work as a team player.
• Complete all opening and closing duties.
• Assist with cleaning, stocking, and organization of restaurant items.
