Position Purpose: Key duties include managing reservations (including collecting payment, tracking rental fleet, organizing paperwork), conducting safety checks on all rental equipment, providing excellent customer service, and handling inquiries/issues promptly with the support of the rental supervisor on duty. Will have strong organizational skills, a passion for the outdoors, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in hospitality, service, or recreational fields is a plus. The anticipated base pay rate for this Rental Representative position is $17.00. Availability is required from April 11th through October 31st to accommodate training dates; the actual season duration is shorter.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• Strong communication skills
• Able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.
• Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
• Desire to work in the outdoors

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in hospitality, service, or recreational fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-rental equipment inspections.
• Ensure all rental agreements are properly completed.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries.
• Maintain and clean vessels and equipment.
• Monitor weather conditions and advise customers accordingly.
• Assist customers with boarding and disembarking vessels.
• Handle payment transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate equipment repair/replacement needs with local leader/rental supervisor.
• Enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in marketing and promotional activities for the rental program.
• Learn and be able to respond to Emergency Response Policy.
