Purpose: This position generates revenue through proactive, relationship-focused phone outreach while elevating the customer experience post-purchase. By clearly explaining eligible offers - such as protection coverage benefits, and the advantages of platinum delivery – you help customers feel informed, supported and confident. Through trust-building conversations, this role boosts customer satisfaction, strengthens long-term brand loyalty, and contributes directly to increasing our overall average ticket. Overview: In this position, you’ll connect with customers who have recently purchased furniture to ensure they feel supported and confident in their buying experience. You’ll check in to answer any questions they may have and make sure they’re aware of additional offers or options available with their order. You’ll also engage with potential customers who have shown interest—whether through our website or by visiting one of our stores. Through warm, clear, and helpful phone conversations, you’ll highlight available choices and create a welcoming experience that reflects our commitment to exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Strong phone communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Friendly, engaging phone presence with strong listening skills
  • Resilient and able to handle high call volumes and occasional rejection
  • Goal-oriented with a drive to meet or exceed call-based sales targets
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of following structured workflows
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a team-based environment
  • High School or General Education Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience required.
  • 1–2 years of outbound phone sales, telemarketing, call center, or customer service experience preferred
  • Confident in discussing coverage details and guiding customers through decision-making over the phone
  • Experience overcoming objections and converting inquiries to sales
  • Comfort navigating CRM systems, call software, and multitasking on-screen information
  • Exceptional attendance, punctuality, and consistent schedule adherence are essential.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule that may include evenings or weekends based on call window.

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Sales, Communications, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong knowledge across all key areas of our sales process to confidently guide customers and add meaningful value to every conversation. This includes: Protection Plan Coverage that helps customers safeguard their investment by offering support for stains, tears, burns, accidents, and structural damage, giving them added confidence and long‑term peace of mind.
  • Financing options and promotional offers that make their purchase more accessible and appealing.
  • Platinum Delivery benefits and how they compare to standard delivery options, emphasizing convenience, care, and peace of mind.
  • Core “why ‑ buys” for Morris/Ashley, the Better Sleep Shop, and other signature categories that differentiate our brand.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls to customers who purchased furniture without adding eligible offers such as protection coverage, buy-more-save-more promotions, and platinum delivery.
  • Build rapport and trust, ensuring customers feel valued and informed.
  • Use your product knowledge, active listening, and consultative approach to address customer questions, ease concerns, and overcome objections with conviction.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly phone-based sales and conversion targets.
  • Accurately document all calls, outcomes, and follow-ups in the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)/Order management system along with tracker logs.
  • Follow up with interested customers professionally and promptly.
  • Adhere to call scripts, compliance requirements, and quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain professionalism and positivity in a fast-paced phone environment.
