Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
  • Ability to install, configure and maintain computers, networks and related hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, application, web and software applications.
  • Oil and gas industry experience.
  • 1-2 years related business experience or experience with OT/ICS security concepts and frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical resource for OT system troubleshooting and software installation requests.
  • Authority to approve/deny end-user requested software installation on OT Systems.
  • Provide OT / SCADA computer orientation to new and existing company staff.
  • Provide technical assistance to system users.
  • Update various software, including OS (Windows and Linux) and applications.
  • Keep track of equipment and software inventory.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with other OT Networking personnel to provide twenty-four (24)-hour coverage.
  • Administer end-user OT workstations and supports TCP/IP-based LAN connectivity.
  • Investigate user-reported issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain OT computing systems, virtual machines, and related equipment, including software installation and system remediation as needed.
  • Perform and/or oversee hardware, software and application installation and upgrades.
  • Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
  • Review, analyze, investigate, and respond to logs generated by OT network cybersecurity applications and tools, coordinating with the OT Cybersecurity team as needed.
