About The Position

At LCRA, we are seeking a motivated and technical individual to join our Telecom team as a dynamic Systems Administrator! In this position you will take ownership of a complex business-critical OSS application, database and associated hardware. We are looking for a driven individual to become our in-house expert. You'll work closely with other teams to develop robust solutions, automate routine tasks, and troubleshoot with precision. This role brings an opportunity to develop and deploy solutions to upgrade systems, optimize performance, and improve usability and reliability. Requirements

  • Six or more years of experience in systems development, installation, administration and maintenance in a UNIX/Windows environment, or other relevant experience, including two or more years in supporting high availability systems.
  • A degree(s) in software engineering, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windows OS (2019 and newer)
  • Experience with operation and maintenance of Oracle database (12c-19c)
  • Familiarity with AutoDesk Rivit, Bentley MicroStation, or other network design/modeling software
  • Skilled in software development
  • Experience using Network and/or Telecom hardware

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, test, debug, and maintain system (App, OS, DB, HW) for peak performance and availability
  • Schedule testing, perform system patch and upgrades
  • Provide technical assistance and training
  • Develop and maintain code to enhance system performance and data output
